Independent · Reader-first AI tool reviews

We research what we review.
We publish our math.

Belreos is an independent publication that reviews AI tools for people who use them. We are reader-first and affiliate-supported. Every affiliate link is disclosed on the page that carries it. Commissions never change a score, a verdict, or a ranking. We have said no to every "sponsored review" pitch we have ever received.

How a tool earns a Belreos score.

6-step methodology
01

We source ratings, not press accounts.

We pull verified scores from real user review platforms across the web. No vendor-supplied data, no unverified claims -- only platform ratings with transparent review counts behind them.

aggregated ratings · per tool
02

We read the community, not just the homepage.

Reddit threads, Hacker News discussions, and G2 reviews tell a different story than vendor marketing. We weight real-user sentiment alongside platform scores in every verdict.

03

Scored independently of the research.

The researcher who gathered the data is not the scorer. Evidence is reviewed independently across six axes. We publish the median and the spread, never the mean.

04

We re-assess every 180 days.

AI tools change. A score from six months ago is a historical artifact, not a recommendation. We re-review our most-read reviews every half-year and the rest annually.

05

We publish our sources.

Every review cites its rating sources and the date the data was pulled. If you disagree with our verdict, you can check the underlying evidence, not just the summary.

Fully transparent
06

We say no to money for verdicts.

If a tool has an affiliate program, we disclose it on every page. We'll take the commission on a download-link click. We will not take a dollar tied to a score. Full stop.

The six axes every tool is scored on.

Equally weighted, combined into a single score out of ten. No category has special treatment; a best-in-class video tool and a best-in-class writer get scored the same way.

Our verdicts are never for sale.

We are affiliate-supported. Every link that earns a commission is labeled as such, on the page that carries it. No commission has ever changed a score.

  • We disclose every affiliate link, every time.

If a "Download" button earns us a commission, the page says so. At the top, not buried in a footer.

  • We never accept paid placement.

No sponsored reviews, no guest posts, no "thought leadership," no product placement in our essays. Ever.

  • We publish a correction log.

When we get something wrong, we say so. On the piece, with timestamps. No stealth edits.

  • We separate editorial from monetization.

Editorial decisions are kept separate from growth and monetization. A verdict is never written with revenue in mind.

Pitch a tool for review

We read every pitch. We do not expedite for payment. If you're a founder, tell us why your tool is better than whatever's at the top of our category score board right now.

Disagree with a verdict?

Genuine. Send us the receipts. We re-score whenever the evidence changes. The piece will carry your rebuttal, with attribution, if it holds up.
