What is not for sale.
Scores, rankings and verdicts are not for sale. No payment changes a Belreos Score, moves a tool up or down a ranked list, alters a verdict, adds or removes pros and cons, or gets a tool included in or excluded from a roundup. No advertiser sees editorial copy before it publishes. No advertiser can have a competitor demoted or removed.
We sell labelled placement and our own traffic data. We do not sell the ranking. The ranked lists are generated from our internal scores, with no sponsorship input.
Two kinds of slot.
We sell two placements. A Featured Partner slot, booked direct on one page. A sponsor slot on the bid board, priced by bids rather than a rate we quote. Both are labelled advertising. Neither one touches editorial.
Featured Partner. One slot per page, on a category page, a roundup post, or the homepage. The partner gets a single box at the top of the page, above and visually separated from the ranked editorial list: their logo, a vendor-written blurb of about 25 words that we copy-edit for house style, and one link. The homepage slot is the same product at a larger size, one card, site-wide, below the masthead and above the editorial top picks.
The bid board. Five slots, all of them on the bid board page itself and nowhere else. An occupant gets their name, a blurb of about 25 words, and one link. No logo. The slots are numbered one to five by where they sit on that page. The number is a board position. It is not a rank, and it is not an editorial order. Vendors bid in the open, by the week or by the month, and a slot can change hands before its term is up. The board is linked from here and built for vendors who arrive that way, not for search.
Every slot of either kind carries a persistent label and a link marked rel="sponsored nofollow".
Neither kind of slot gets:
- Any change to their editorial score, rank, verdict, pros, cons or inclusion.
- A dofollow link, or any SEO value passed from the slot.
- Removal, demotion or exclusion of a competitor.
- Sight of the editorial copy before it publishes.
- Editorial featuring on the homepage. That flag stays editorial and is never sold.
- Exclusivity beyond the single slot for the term they booked.
Buying a slot when a tool is already ranked first adds a labelled box. It never substitutes for the position, and it never creates one. Bidding more changes none of this. Price changes what a slot costs. It never changes what a slot is.
The AI Citation Report.
Included with a Featured Partner slot and sold on its own: a monthly report of how often AI assistants fetched a vendor's pages on Belreos, per page and per assistant, with the trend over the preceding three months and a comparison against the anonymised category median. It is not included with a bid board slot, at any term. A board slot is placement and nothing else.
We measure fetches, not citations. We can show that an assistant retrieved a page while answering a user. We cannot see the prompt, the answer, or whether Belreos was cited.
A report buyer does not get:
- Raw logs, IP addresses, or any competitor-identifiable data.
- Any claim that a slot influences ranking inside an AI assistant.
- A guarantee that fetch counts hold next month. We report declines too.
How it is disclosed.
Disclosure is built into the code, not into a policy someone has to remember. The "Advertisement — Featured Partner" and "Advertisement — Sponsor slot" labels are rendered by the same components that render the slots, so a slot cannot ship without one. On the bid board the label renders on open slots too, because a live bid figure is itself commercial content. Every partner link carries rel="sponsored nofollow". A slot has a different background, no score and no rank number. On a ranked page it sits above the ranking, never inside it.
Sponsored slots are excluded from every piece of structured data we emit that carries a rating. A paid box is never described to a search engine as a rated or ranked item. The bid board page emits no structured data at all.
Offers we turned down are listed publicly on refused offers. How we score is on methodology, and the business behind the site is on transparency.
Buying a slot.
Two ways to buy, one for each product.
Featured Partner, direct. Sold monthly, cancel any time, no minimum term, on pages that meet a minimum assistant-fetch threshold. We publish rates on request rather than a public rate card, because the inventory is small and changes month to month. Get in touch and say which page you are interested in. We will send that page's fetch numbers before you decide, free, whether or not you buy.
Sponsor slots, by open bid. The five board slots are priced by bidding, not by a rate we quote. You bid by the week or by the month. Winning one does not lock it for that long. A higher bid can take a slot off whoever is holding it at any point, so if you win a month and a bigger bid lands on day two, you can lose the slot on day two. The term you bid is the longest you can hold a slot, not a promise of how long you will hold it. There is no pro-rata refund when a slot changes hands. Bid on that basis. The sponsor slot board shows who holds each slot, the high weekly and monthly bid, and how many vendors are bidding. You place a bid on that page. No account, and no payment taken on this site.
The high bid for each term and the number of bidders are public. Who bid what stays private until we award the slot. We read every bid and every award is made by hand. The highest bid does not win by default, and we can decline any bid, including the highest one. Losing bidders are charged nothing: no money is taken on this site at all, and we invoice only the vendor we award. A winning bid at any price gets the same slot. Nothing about that slot scales with the number on the bid: not a score, not a rank, not a verdict, not a place on a list.
